Warranty Terms and Conditions

Warranty Coverage:

Ellebrook Sports warrants its cricket bats against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase ("Warranty Period"). During the Warranty Period, Ellebrook Sports will repair, replace,or refund at its discretion, any cricket bat found to be defective due to manufacturing defects.

 

Exclusions from Warranty Coverage:

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

​

Moisture Damage:

Damage caused by exposure to excessive moisture, rain, or water.

​

Heat Damage:

Damage caused by exposure to extreme heat or prolonged direct sunlight.

​

Incorrect Knocking/Preparation:

Damage resulting from improper knocking-in or preparation of the cricket bat.

​

Use of non-Leather, composite, or hard balls:

Damage caused by the use of substandard or excessively hard cricket balls (including bowling machine balls)

​

Yorker Damage to the Toe:

Damage resulting from direct impact by a yorker delivery to the toe of the cricket bat, please play these shots defensively.

​

Use Against a Bowling Machine:

Damage caused by using the cricket bat against a bowling machine or similar mechanical device.

​

Damage from Bats being machine prepared / knocked, Hand knocking is the only recommended method. Any other instances of misuse of the bat.

Warranty Claim Process:

To make a warranty claim, the original purchaser must:

 

Provide proof of purchase, such as a sales receipt or invoice, demonstrating the date of purchase.

 

Contact Ellebrook Sports Customer Service within the Warranty Period to initiate the warranty claim process.

 

Return the defective cricket bat to Ellebrook Sports for assessment at the purchaser's expense, along with a completed warranty claim form.

Upon receipt of the warranty claim, Ellebrook Sports will assess the cricket bat to determine if the damage is covered under warranty. If the damage is deemed to be covered under warranty, Ellebrook Sports will repair or replace the cricket bat free of charge. If the damage is not covered under warranty, the purchaser will be responsible for any repair or replacement costs incurred.

Small Cracking and Natural Material:

Please note that small cracking may occur as English Willow is a soft, natural material. Such cracking is expected and does not necessarily indicate a defect in materials or workmanship.

Limitation of Liability:

To the extent permitted by law, Ellebrook Sports' liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective cricket bat as described herein. Ellebrook Sports shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use or inability to use the cricket bat, even if Ellebrook Sports has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Warranty Transferability:

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the cricket bat.

​

Repairs to other Bat Brands:

There is no warranty for repairs to damaged bats that were not manufactured by Ellebrook Sports.

​

Governing Law:

These warranty terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.

Small cracks can be sanded, and they are not a sign of a defective bat, but generally an indication the bat requires further preparation.
